Geography matters.
Region = geographic area (eu-central-1, us-east-1).
AZ = a separate datacenter in a region, independent power/cooling.
Your app runs on three EC2 instances, all in eu-central-1a. That AZ
loses power. What happens?
A) AWS auto-moves them to another AZ
B) Your app goes down until power is restored
C) Other AZs in the region take over transparently
D) Data is lost permanently
